Considerations on Numerical Protections for Induction Motors Connected in MV Industrial Power Systems
Journal Title: Analele Universitatii "Eftimie Murgu" Resita. Fascicula de Inginerie - Year 2014, Vol 21, Issue 3
Abstract
The paper presents some considerations on the calculation and adjustment of numerical protections used for induction motors connected in MV (6-10 kV) power systems. It examines the setting for the next protections: overcurrent, earth fault and thermal overload. An example for a 6 kV motor, 200 kW is presented.

Influence of the Cutting Parameters on Vibration Level in Metal Turning
Cutting vibration is a phenomenon that often appears in the process of metal machining, being one of primary factors that affects the processing quality and limits the productivity enhances. The analysis of vibration in...
HydroHillChart – Francis module. Software used to Calculate the Hill Chart of the Francis Hydraulic Turbines
The paper presents the Hydro Hill Chart - Francis module application, used to calculate the hill chart of the Pelton, Francis and Kaplan hydraulic turbine models, by processing the data measured on the stand. After de-sc...
Simulation of a Pneumatically Driven Robotic Gripper Used for Handling Cylindrical Workpieces
The paper presents the geometrical model of a robotic gripper with 3 fingers, accomplished by using SolidWorks software, used for grasping cylindrical workpieces of the same length, but with different diameters. Applying...
Intelligent Agent for Damages Detection
We introduce in this paper an intelligent system that automatically de-tects the damage in cantilever beams called AgentMec. This agent is creating its knowledge using a database with the first ten natural frequencies of...
Technical and economic analysis of Soft Starter Providing in LV Electrical Installation
The main aim of this paper is to identify the consequences magnitude of providing electronic starters, also called Soft Starters, in AC electrical motors with largest powers and the economical appreciation of this measur...
