CONSIDERATIONS REGARDING ECHOLOCATION OF BATS
Journal Title: Journal of Science And Arts - Year 2011, Vol 14, Issue 1
Abstract
The sonar system allows echolocating bats to navigate with high skill through a complex, threedimensional environment at high speed and low light. The auditory analysis of the echoes of their ultrasonic sounds requires a detailed comparison of the emission and echoes. This provides reasonably good predictions for both temporal and spectral behavioural sonar processing in terms of sonar delay, roughness, and phase sensitivity and in terms of sensitivity to the temporal separations in two-front targets and the classification of spectrally divergent phantom targets.

A PARALLEL ALGORITHM FOR SOLVING TRIDIAGONAL LINEAR SYSTEMS
The coarse-grainded architecture model has been proposed to be a model of iently close existing parallel machines. Under this model we design a communication-efficient parallel algorithm for the solution of tridiagonal l...
LICHENS AS BIOMONITORS OF HEAVY METAL AIR POLLUTION
IN THE TARGOVISTE AREA
In this work we have been used the advantages of EDXRF method to identify the presence of heavy metals (Cu, Fe, Pb and Zn) in the air of Targoviste town and its surroundings. The measurements were performed in the labora...
ON INTEGRAL FORMS OF SEVERAL INEQUALITIES
In this paper we give some integral forms of some refinements and counterparts of Radon’s inequality using recent generalizations.
FINITENESS PROPERTIES FOR THE PATH COALGEBRA ASSOCIATED TO A POSET
Let P be a partially ordered set (poset) locally finite and kQ the path coalgebra over a field k associated to P. In this paper we investigate finiteness properties of this coalgebra by using an injective morphism of coa...
BINARY OPERATIONS ASSOCIABLE WITH A GROUP OPERATION
Conditions under which two binary operations on a set M are associable (x○(y*z)=(x○y)*z, z,y,zєM) were given by J. Dhombres in the case when the operations are associative. We characterize the associability of two group...
