Considering National, Cultural, and other Features of Kazakh-Speaking Subjects of Polygraph Examinations
Journal Title: European Polygraph - Year 2017, Vol 40, Issue 2
Abstract
From the 1920s to the 1960s the idea that the Kazakh language is like the Kazakh steppe: monotonous, monolithic, and devoid of distinctive shades was offi cially promoted.Diff erences between regional pronunciations of Kazakhs words were denied too. In addition some past scientists and politicians linked the dialectical diff erences in the Kazakh language to Zhuzes and tribal divisions of the Kazakh ethnic group, which they believed broke the rules of the “internationalist” Soviet system.
