Contact allergic dermatitis after black henna tattooing: Successful treatment with betamethasone valerate patches

Abstract

The case is presented of allergic contact dermatitis after black henna tattooing. A 36-year-old male was referred with a characteristic papular pruritic lesion of contact dermatitis that occurred 8 days after the application of a black henna tattoo. Treatment with patches of betamethasone valerate was effective, leading to complete resolution of the symptoms within 10 days.
