Contactless Power Transfer – Theoretical Principles and Fields of Applications
Journal Title: ANALELE UNIVERSITATII DIN CRAIOVA - Seria Inginerie electrica - Year 2018, Vol 42, Issue 0
Abstract
Contactless energy transfer 1 has indubitable advantages in modern technique given by the lack of electro-mechanical contacts predisposed to pitting and failure: use in aggressive or explosive (no sparks) environments, application to mechanisms with translation or rotation move-ments (robotics), high efficiency on relatively short distances a.s.o. Recent researches carried out in Romania demonstrate the feasibility of these systems for a wide power range, from a few watts up to tens of kW, suitable for the expansion of the electro-mobility and proliferation of multimedia and mobile communication devices. Such systems impose storing the energy in batteries requiring frequent charging. The concept of high frequency transformer with separable windings, as well as a capacitor with separable electrodes working in near field regime, the use of resonance and magnetic flux concentrators for increasing the transfer efficiency, some practical achievements and also maintaining of electromagnetic compatibility within well-defined limits are presented. The paper aims to draw the attention of users and also of prospective investors on the applications and advantages of these systems and to encourage national partnerships for developing theoretical and applied research in this field

Energetic Analysis of the Drying Process of Cur-rent Transformers from 110 kV Ciungetu Power Station
Currently, at company Hidroserv Râmnicu Vâlcea, the drying of current transformers used in power transformer stations is done by a combination between induction and conduction heating at the frequency of 50 Hz. Obviously...
An Improved Numerical Model of Heat Transfer Coefficient Corresponding to a Through Connector
This paper is a continuation of a previous research in which was presented a method to determine heat transfer coefficient values corresponding to crimped connections. Because the differences between numerical values of...
Hysteresis Current Control of the Single - Phase Active Filter
To compensate harmonic current components in case of unbalanced three-phase loads authors will propose a structure composed by three single phase active filters. To begin is implemented the single-phase active filter whi...
ELASTIC EQUIVALENT SPRING FOR THE ELECTROMECHANICAL CIRCUIT BREAKERS DRIVEN BY ELECTROMAGNETS
The aim of the present paper is to analyze the transient phase of electromagnetic actuators mechanisms of the electrical switching device by two different analytical methods, in order to simplify the determination of the...
The Study of Asynchronous Motors Behavior in Artificial Load
The performances and heating of asynchronous motor are established to nominal load into a testing laboratory. Only in this way can be created real life working conditions, but there are also two big disadvantages: the ne...
