CONTEMPORARY VIEW ON RETROSPECTIVE ANALYSIS OF CRISES HISTORY ON THE GLOBAL FINANCIAL MARKET

Abstract
The article provides critical analysis of prominent financial crises of the past and those anti-crises actions which shaped modern financial system. It delves into conflict between protection of lenders and transferring responsibility for the conduct of financial institution from investors to the government (tax payers). The major problem is that such transfer of responsibility leads to misappropriation in financial sector, oversized and unnecessary risk-taking, and increase in probability of new financial crises. On the other hand, lenders protection allows to maintain trust in financial institutions, which is the keystone of world financial market functioning. The article is aimed at analysing this dilemma using historical experience.
