CONTOUR ANALYSIS-BASED ELEMENTARY AND PLAIN OBJECTS IN IMAGE PRECESSING MATHEMATHICAL MODELS

Abstract

Image segmentation is central problem of image processing. This paper presents mathematical models using elementary and plain objects in image-based processing in contour analysis developed by the author. In the models, an image object is treated as the equivalent of its boundary and an image object’s closed contours decomposition set definition is proposed. An analytical solution was obtained, which was then applied in the analysis of a specific image object.
