CONTRIBUTION A L’ETUDE DE LA QUALITE PHYSICOCHIMIQUE DE L’EAU DE LA RIVE DROITE DU FLEUVE SENEGAL
Journal Title: Larhyss Journal - Year 2013, Vol 12, Issue 12
Abstract
The study concerns the analysis of physico-chemical parameters (Temperature, pH, Electrical Conductivity, Suspende Matter, Chlorides, Ammonia, nitrates and Oxidizable Matters) along the right bank of the Senegal River. Thus, water samples were performed at ten study sites during the rainy season and dry season. The application of statistical analysis methods on physicochemical results showed the existence of two groups of water: a group of high temperature water, basic and salinity and mineralization expressed by electrical conductivity, chlorides and oxidizable matters. This group is characteristic of the Senegal River during the dry season and a group of rich water and dissolved and suspended particles and nitrogen-containing ammonia. This group is characteristic of the Senegal River during the rainy season. This study allowed us to also highlight the paramount influence of seasonal variations and human activities. This is one more, for adequate treatment modalities of this water is currently supplied to the power of the city of Nouakchott in drinking water.

EVALUATION DE LA CONCENTRATION DES ELEMENTS TRACES (Pb, Cu, Zn, Fe, Cd et Hg) DANS LES CREVETTES (macrobrachium vollenhovenii) DES LAGUNES AGHIEN ET POTOU (SUD-EST DE LA CÔTE D’IVOIRE)
This study aims to determine the concentrations of heavy metals (Cu, Pb, Fe, Cd, Zn and Hg) in prawns (Macrobrachium vollenhovenii) of lagoons Aghien and Potou in order to protect population’s heath. Nitric acid was...
PROBLEMATIQUE D’AMENAGEMENT ET CONFLIT D’USAGE DE L’EAU EN ZONE DE MONTAGNE, CAS DES MONTS DE BENI CHOUGRANE (NORD-OUEST ALGERIEN)
The water management in mountain areas is a major concern in Algeria; due to the twin problems it poses, namely, siltation of dams and the degradation of soil fertility. To this end, a new form of organization of water...
REMOVAL OF HUMIC ACID BY THE COMBINATION ALUMINIUM SULPHATE / ACTIVATED BENTONITE
This work presents removal of humic substances by the combination of aluminum sulphate/activated bentonite during coagulation-flocculation in waters with various mineralizations. Many reaction parameters (pH, coagulant...
