Contribution of Volodymyr Baran to the Study of Old Halych

Abstract
The article analyzes the contribution of the renowned archaeologist, ethnologist, and historian V. Baran to the study of ancient Halych (Krylos settlement). With his long-term archaeological research of princely Halych, V. Baran greatly enlarged our knowledge about the history of the capital of Galicia-Volyhnia Principality.
