Contributions to the knowledge of the Patagonian entomofauna: habitat use of Gamostolus subantarcticus (Berg, 1883) (Hemiptera: Heteroptera: Aenictopecheidae)
Journal Title: REVISTA CHILENA DE ENTOMOLOGÍA - Year 2022, Vol 48, Issue 4
Abstract
The knowledge of the Enicocephalomorpha is very scarce, their cryptic habits make them difficult to study. Adult specimens and immature stages were found on the isla Grande de Tierra del Fuego (Argentina) among fibers of the moss Sphagnum magellanicum Brid (Sphagnaceae) in spring, autumn and winter. New information on habitat uses and distribution record of Gamostolus subantarcticus (Berg) on the isla Grande de Tierra del Fuego, southern Patagonia, is given.
