Controlled-scattering resonances in a spherical potential well
Journal Title: JOURNAL OF ADVANCES IN PHYSICS - Year 2017, Vol 13, Issue 5
Abstract
Understanding of collision processes is required in designing robust nano-particles for future applications. This study proposes a technique for controlling scattering resonances by using the tuning of well parameters to impose pre-determined thresholds on resonances and bound states in collision processes. The theoretical concept of scattering in a spherical potential well, at varying depths was adopted. A scan of q from 0 to 5π at incremental steps of q= π/p yields (p x 5)+1 number of state(s), and p-1 state(s) resonate(s) at each bound state.

Introduction to The Spiral Dynamics and The Spiral Coriolis Force
The spiral dynamics of a point-like body of mass m in spiral differential geometry are introduced. New ideal motions have been studied, the uniform spiral motion and the uniform spiral-polar motion. The analysis is propo...
Influence of Au on Ge Crystallization and Its Thermoelectric Properties in a Au-induced Ge Crystallization Technique
Poly-crystalline Ge (pc-Ge) thin films were prepared on a SiO2/Si substrate using Au-induced crystallization (GIC) of amorphous Ge (a-Ge) with an annealing temperature around the eutectic point of Au-Ge alloy system (361...
Relativistic analysis of application of Helmholtz theorem to classical electrodynamics
In this work we discuss the relationship between the instantaneous-action-at-a-distance solutions of Maxwells equations obtained using Helmholtz theorem and the Lorentzs invariant solutions of the same equations obtained...
Combined Cycle Consisting of Closed Processes Based Cycle Powered by A Reversible Heat Pump that Exceed Carnot Factor
This article deals with the task of analysing a feasible reversible combined cycle composed of a heat pump as the primary cycle and a non-condensing mode thermal engine characterized by operating under a closed processes...
The Weight Reduction of Charged Capacitors, Charge-Mass Interaction, and Einstein's Unification
The Biefeld-Brown (B-B) effect consists of two parts: 1) the initial thrust is due to the electric potential that moves the electrons to the positive post; and 2) the subsequent lift is due to the separate concentration...
