Controller Design For DFIG Driven By Variable Speed Wind Turbine Using Static Output Feedback Technique
Journal Title: Engineering, Technology & Applied Science Research - Year 2016, Vol 6, Issue 4
Abstract
This paper describes the controller design for a DFIG based wind energy generation system using the static output feedback technique through the LMI Toolbox. The features of the DFIG, its converters and their controllers are discussed. The lower order nominal representation of DFIG is obtained using numerical differentiation of the SIMULINK model which is subsequently used for PID controller design. The obtained results are compared with existing methods for performance enhancement of the DFIG and wind energy conversion systems.

Penetration Evaluation of Explosively Formed Projectiles Through Air and Water Using Insensitive Munition: Simulative and Experimental Studies
The process of formation, flying, penetration of explosively-formed projectiles (EFP) and the effect of water on performance of the charge for underwater applications is simulated by Ansysis Autodyn 2D-Hydro code. The ma...
Implementation of MPPT Algorithm and Supervision of Shading on Photovoltaic Module
This paper presents an implementation of MPPT (maximum power point tracking) algorithm based on real-time measurements and on model-based simulation. For the supervision of a photovoltaic module, different cases of shadi...
A Survey on the Criteria for Measuring the Profitability of a Construction Organization
Any organization’s performance depends on profitability which depends on several adopted criteria. The preference and level of adoption of these criteria varies, on different industries. This study focuses on investigati...
A New Power System Restoration Technique based on WAMS Partitioning
An important feature of a Wide-Area Measurement System (WAMS) is the ability to recover data during a communication failure. This paper presents a novel scheme of partitioning a PMU installed power network into a number...
