CONTROVERSIAL ASPECTS OF SCIENTIFIC-ORGANIZATIONAL SYSTEM OF ALL UKRAINIAN ACADEMY OF SCIENCES IN 1921-1928: DEPARTMENTS AS A PART OF HISTORICAL KNOWLEDGE STRUCTURE

Abstract
The role of the departments in the structure of historical researchers in the All Ukrainian Academy of Sciences is being analyzed in the article. Basing on the different historical resources authors claim that the term «department» inthe framework of All Ukrainian Academy of Sciences had three main meanings. The first one is scientific specialization, association of different research structures, which were connected by common or close topic and headed by one scientific leader. According to this, there were research departments, which combined scientific surveys and preparation of post-graduate students. Authors formulate propositions on the creative usage of the experience of the functioning of the departments, which can be useful in the process of the reforms of Ukrainian science
