Correlating Dimensions of Inheritance Hierarchy with Complexity & Reuse
Journal Title: International Journal on Computer Science and Engineering - Year 2011, Vol 3, Issue 9
Abstract
Inheritance is the vital feature of any object oriented software which provides reuse of exiting classes for designing new classes. Higher reuse provides higher productivity and greater quality. Inheritance hierarchy is one of the very important artifacts targeted for measurement of reuse and reusability. Reuse through inheritance hierarchy can be measured from two dimensions- Depth and Breadth. Higher depth and breadth may increase complexity of software which makes the software difficult to understand and maintain. This paper aimed to correlate the depth and breadth of inheritance hierarchy with reuse and complexity of inheritance hierarchy using design oriented metrics.

Adaptability of IEEE 802.15.4(Zigbee) Protocol for Wireless Sensor network
The IEEE 802.15.4/Zigbee protocol stack has been considered as a promising technology for Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN). IEEE 802.15.4 Low-Rate Wireless Personal Area Network (WPAN) standard specifies the lower protocol...
Infrastructural Map for Information Security
The threat modeling process starts with the phases of identifying critical assets, creating an architecture overview, and decomposing to identify possible points of attack. Data flow diagrams and sequence diagrams are us...
Biometric Template Security Using Invisible Watermarking With Minimum Degradation in Quality of Template
In this paper, we present an approach to enhance the Biometric Template Security by using Invisible Watermarking. For embedding the watermark in the Biometric Template, we used Parity Checker Method [2]. The use of Parit...
