Correlating Rate of Penetration with the Weight on Bit, Rotation per Minute, Flow Rate and Mud Weight of Rotary Drilling
Journal Title: Natural and Engineering Sciences - Year 2018, Vol 3, Issue 3
Abstract
n this study, the effect of some drilling parameters, rotation per minute, weight on bit, flow rate and mud weight on rate of penetration, were investigated in detail. As a result, the rate of penetration was found between 1,79m/h and 14,80m/h, which have a good statistical relationship with the rotation per minute, flow rate and mud weight. On the other hand, it was determined that there was no any relationship between rate of penetration and weight on bit.

The aim of the current investigation is to evaluate the impact of water quality in hematological and biochemical blood profile in two habitats of common carp (Cyprinus carpio) captured in Batllava and in Radoniqi Lake. I...
Subsurface Soil Evaluation Using Seismic Refraction Tomography and Standard Penetration Test at Bukit Bunuh Impact Crater Area
Subsurface soil varies from place to place due to the rock type, its mineral constituents, the climate of the area, time and other geological activities such as meteorite impact. The process that leads to the formation o...
Performance Evaluation of Mobile Base Station under different Network Sizes on Cluster-Based Wireless Sensor Networks
The position of the base station (BS) in wireless sensor networks (WSNs) has a significant impact on network lifetime. This paper suggests a mobile BS positioning algorithm for clusterbased WSNs, which considers both the...
First Record of the Pempheris rhomboidea (Kossmann & Räuber, 1877) from Northeastern Mediterranean Sea (Mersin Bay)
In this study, eight individuals of Pempheris rhomboidea (Kossmann & Räuber, 1877) were for the first time caught in the Mersin Bay, Northeastern Mediterranean Sea. Some morphometric and meristic characters of these indi...
