Correlation Between Principal Academic Supervision, Self-Concept, Work Ethos Toward Teacher Performance of Junior High School Teachers in Hulu Sungai Selatan Regency

Abstract
A good teacher must have the ability to carry out their duties so that their performance is even better in carrying out the tasks they carry out. This study aims to determine and analyze the direct and indirect effects of the principal's academic supervision, self-concept, work ethic and teacher performance. This research uses a quantitative approach with expo facto. The population of this study was 272 people. The sampling technique used is Proportional Random Sampling. The number of samples is determined by the respondents as many as 162 people. Data was collected using a questionnaire consisting of the principal's academic supervision (29 items), self-concept (20 items), work ethic (25 items) and teacher performance with Teacher Performance Assessment (78 items). This research instrument is tested for the level of validity and reliability using Pearson's product moment correlation. The research data were analyzed using path analysis to see the direct or indirect effect between variables by first testing normality, linearity, homogeneity and multicollinearity. The results showed that there was a Correlation between the principal's academic supervision, self-concept, work ethic and the performance of junior high school teachers either directly or indirectly in Hulu Sungai Selatan Regency.
