CRACK DEVELOPMENT IN LINER USING CAGINALP PHASE FIELD MODEL
Journal Title: Proceedings in Manufacturing Systems - Year 2015, Vol 10, Issue 1
Abstract
New materials technologies have led to new composite materials solutions to replace existing conventional materials. The respect of the quality and the life span of drilling tools are considerable reduced. The constraints generated during the drilling process are very important in amplitude and complexity. In this scope was presented adopted machining solution based on vibration assisted drilling. This paper aims to dynamic study of a new drilling solution assisted with vibration. This system is the subject of a patent [4]. To evaluate the dynamic behaviour of the drilling vibration system an experimental protocol was designed and built. The study allowed the identification of natural frequencies and determination of dynamic parameters: stiffness, damping and mass. These parameters are required in the further development of a dynamic model to optimize the reel cutting conditions. For this purpose was imposed a dynamic evaluation of drilling system assisted with forced-vibrations.

Creep testing of epoxy resin-flax fiber composites
The present study proposes an experimental approach into determining the viscoelastic characteristics of a composite made out of an epoxy-resin matrix with long flax fiber reinforcement. In a first instance, the fabricat...
Effects of laser cladding parameters on microstructure properties and surface roughness of graded material
This paper shows the general properties of laser cladding that have recently added new possibilities for the local surface repairing of metal mechanical elements. Despite the fact that the technology for laser cladding i...
Laparoscopic robotized instrument
Robot-assisted surgery has many advantages over conventional surgery: greater spatial accuracy, dexterity and precision reliability, reproducibility and ultimately better patient outcomes. Investigations of current instr...
Materials selection for an engineering application using multiple-criteria decision analysis
The process of choosing materials for one part is always a difficult task, due to the large variety of materials and manufacturing processes. The complex list of requests defining the appropriate material leads to a mult...
Dynamic simulation of industrial robots behaviour using integrated software procedures
The paper presents a research regarding the dynamic behavior of an industrial robot during operation. The main target of the attempt was to primarily test a set of software applications in a combination used in the autom...
