CRACK DEVELOPMENT IN LINER USING CAGINALP PHASE FIELD MODEL
Journal Title: Proceedings in Manufacturing Systems - Year 2015, Vol 10, Issue 1
Abstract
New materials technologies have led to new composite materials solutions to replace existing conventional materials. The respect of the quality and the life span of drilling tools are considerable reduced. The constraints generated during the drilling process are very important in amplitude and complexity. In this scope was presented adopted machining solution based on vibration assisted drilling. This paper aims to dynamic study of a new drilling solution assisted with vibration. This system is the subject of a patent [4]. To evaluate the dynamic behaviour of the drilling vibration system an experimental protocol was designed and built. The study allowed the identification of natural frequencies and determination of dynamic parameters: stiffness, damping and mass. These parameters are required in the further development of a dynamic model to optimize the reel cutting conditions. For this purpose was imposed a dynamic evaluation of drilling system assisted with forced-vibrations.

Considerations regarding the incremental forming process in manufacturig
The incremental deformation process of the sheet metal blanks allows the realization, without the use of dies with a high degree of complexity, of a wide variety of parts, mostly for automotive (car body parts) and bio-m...
ASPECTS REGARDING THE MODELLING OF THE CHIP GEOMETY IN END MILLING
Due to the fact that the milling process still remaining a challenge for researchers, the paper deals with the concept of chip geometry model built on the basis of geometric definition of the cutting tool, namely the i...
Adaptive network based inference system for cutting force simulation in milling of multi-layered metal materials
This paper outlines the experimental research on cutting forces produced during ball-end milling of multi-layered metal materials manufactured by the laser engineered net shaping (LENS) process. The research employs an a...
EXPERIMENTAL INVESTIGATION OF TANGENTIAL CONTACT STIFFNESS AND EQUIVALENT DAMPING
In this paper, the phenomena of hysteretic behaviour of frictional contacts observed during reciprocating experiments are discussed. The hysteretic behaviour is determined theoretically based on the expression of hyste...
Remote control of hydrostatic drive mechanisms for hoisting machinery and logistics centers
The analysis of the crane or loader travel mechanism construction with hydrostatic drive and low-moment hydraulic motor has been performed. It has been proposed that the electric circuit of pump performance remote contro...
