Critical Care Challenges and Considerations in Pediatric Hematopoietic Stem cell Transplantation Patients : A Review

Abstract
Objectives: To review the various complications and challenges faced while treating the pediatric Hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) recipients in pediatric intensive care unit (PICU). Material and Methods: Relevant articles from various journals and online database has been reviewed. Conclusion: The HSCT recipients develop unique complications and may need PICU care. The knowledge of these complications to an intensivist may help in improving the overall survival of these patients.
