Cryopreservation of Goat Sperms Collected From Different Regions of the Epididymis
Journal Title: International Journal of Science and Research (IJSR) - Year 2013, Vol 2, Issue 7
Abstract
Cryopreservation of epididymal sperms in domestic and non-domestic animals has a number of important practical applications such as preservation of valuable genetic material from non-breedable animals. In the present study, the motility, morphology and viability of sperms obtained from head, body and tail of the epididymis were studied before and after freezing using eleven samples of goat epididymis collected from the Kandy abattoir soon after slaughter. To assess the changes of morphology and viability, smears stained with Eosin and Nigrosin were used. Statistically significant differences were observed in the motility and viability of sperms in the head, body and tail of the epididymis (P< 0.05) before and after freezing. Before freezing, the highest motility and viability were detected in sperms collected from the tail of the epididymis. The values observed were 75.45
Cross-Correlation Based Face Recognition Scheme – A Review
The face recognition systems are used to recognize the person by using merely a person’s image. The face detection scheme is the primary method which is used to extract the region of interest (ROI). The ROI is further pr...
Spherically Symmetrical Cosmological Model in Brans Dicke Theory of Gravitation with Anisotropic Dark Energy
Spherically symmetrical cosmological models are examined in the presence of Brans Dicke theory of gravity with anisotropy dark energy. We use the power law relation between scalar field and scalar factor to find the sol...
Comparison of Certain Types of Continuous Sampling Plans (CSPs) and its Operating Procedures
"Abstract Sampling is widely used in manufacturing industries and government agencies for controlling the quality of shipments of components, supplies, raw materials and final products. Continuous sampling plans are usef...
Distributed Data Mining and Multi Agent-Based Distributed Data Clustering
The increasing demands to scale up to massive data sets inherently distributed over a network with limited band width and computational resources available motivated the development of distributed data mining (DDM). Mult...
Quadruple Simultaneous Fourier series Equations Involving Heat Polynomials
"Quadruple series equations are useful in finding the solution of four part boundary value problems of electrostatics, elasticity and other fields of mathematical physics. In the present paper, we have considered the qua...
