Current status of the new fragment separator ACCULINNA-2 and the first-day experiments
Journal Title: Eurasian journal of physics and functional materials - Year 2019, Vol 3, Issue 1
Abstract
The commissioning of the new fragment separator ACCULINNA-2 at FLNR JINR is accomplished. The separator is destined to expand the possibilities in studies of dripline nuclei performed with the exotic secondary radioactive ion beams (RIBs) at energies of (5 – 50) AMeV. The projected high transmission and purification level were confirmed experimentally for a number of RIBs in the last two years. The ACCULINNA-2 setup will become a backbone facility at FLNR for the research in the field of light exotic nuclei. This report shows the current status of the separator, describes the obtained RIBs parameters and first experiments as well, provides the overview of the developing detection, monitoring and control subsystems.

Reactions 11B+209Bi at energies above Coulomb barrier
Experimental data on production of radioactive residuals in 11B +209Bi reaction a above-barrier projectile energy of 145.6 MeV are presented. The measurements and identification of reaction products were made using the me...
Development of thermal sensors by implantation ions P+ and B+ in different sides of Si(111)
In the method of high-phase ion implantation of P + and B + to different sides of monocrystal silicon we obtained p-i-n- structure, which has a high thermal sensitivity of 2.3mV/K in a broad band temperature of (20 ÷ 550...
New MoCd2 phase in film coatings of molybdenum-cadmium system
Ion-plasma sputtering and code position of Mo and Cd ultrafine particles have been used for the first time to prepare solid solutions that are alloys with a concentration up to 57.3 at. % Cd in the film; this confirms th...
Synthesis of boride-titanium coatings by magnetron sputtering of composite targetss
The paper presents the results of investigations of the structure and phase composition of titanium boride coatings deposited by magnetron sputtering from a target of a complex composition onto a steel substrate. The tar...
Ionizing radiation as a powerful tool for modification of metallic nanostructures
This paper presents a case study of targeted modification of the structure and properties of zinc nanotubes ordered arrays by treatment with Xe+22 and Kr+17 swift heavy ions (SHI). Polyethylene terephthalate track-etched...
