Cutaneous wound infection due to zygomycosis (mucormycosis) is an uncommon presentation. We report a case of Syncephalastrum recemosum in an immunocompetant male after a Post Achilles Tendon repair . The patient was successfully treated with I.V. Amphotericin B (liposomal) and a meticulous aseptic dressing.
