Cyberspace on company’s functioning – opportunities and threats

Abstract
Virtual space is the medium that can really affect at the value of the company. The company’s development can occur through acquiring new clients, customers and markets, and expanding the scope of services and products online. Cyberspace, however, is also priceless place for promotion, advertising, and creating brand image. The company can in an interactive way communicate with customers while building loyalty and trust in the brand. Cyberspace is a zone of unlimited flow of information and money transfer. This trend has been noticed by cybercriminals which uses virtual space as a source of income. There is unlimited number of their methods and actions but the goal is always to gain the access to information that can then be used unlawfully. Companies must implement appropriate procedures of cybersecurity, train workers and invest in hardware and IT professionals who will not only prevent possible attacks, but also react appropriately in the case of a system violation.
