DÅRMATOVENEROLOGY IN ARTISTIC LITERATURE OF THE END OF XIX AND THE BEGINNING OF XX CENTURY

Abstract
Artistic literature of the end XIX and the beginning of XX century is exposed by the special historical stage in development of society, medicine and literature. The most famous writers in their works pay attention to social aspects of appearing different dermatovenereological diseases. The disease of syphilis is described in such writings: novel the “White guards”, “Star rash”, “Syphilis”, the story “Bunk ¹ 29”,the tale “Pit”, “Whore” , “Quiet Don”, “Doctor Faustus”, “Magus”. On a row with other illnesses a systemic sclerodermatitis is described in the story of I.S. Turgenev the “Living power”, that characterizes this period too.
