DECISION AIDING IN EVALUATION AND RATIONAL MANAGEMENT OF GROUNDWATER RESOURCES

Abstract
The article presents the application of optimization methods for assessing and managing the exploitation resources of ground- water intakes. Since the volume of exploitation resources is closely linked to how they are used and to the type and values of the constraints that must be met to ensure the sustainable development of the region, the simulation-optimization approach is developed, which allows for the determination of the maximum intake discharge and to find optimal distribution of pumping rates of individual wells, while reducing its negative impact on the environment in this area, particularly the drainage of the adjacent river.
