DECISION SUPPORT SYSTEM FOR LOADING BULK CONTAINER CARRIERS

Abstract

In maritime transport containers are often accidents happen due to inaccurate weight loading container. To increase security, transportation of large container vessels must have operational information about the degree of loading, which is currently defined only visually. Captain of the ship, as a rule, takes the risk. control function for loading carries a crew member who does not manage to always keep track of the loading for several reasons: bad weather conditions, the in-tensity of the work, which leads to fatigue. Attraction of additional crew is not possible due to tight control of working time staff from the maritime unions. There is a situation when the captain is forced to hold out to sea, carrying losses, or leave part of the cargo on shore. The aim of this work is to create a tool that would allow in a few minutes to assess the degree of loading of a container ship. The proposed decision support system facilitates the loading of containers to the captain to decide to withdraw into the sea. Scope - ports and container.
