Abstract
The Tourism Decline of the Sângeorz-Băi spa - This article analyses the rise and fall of tourism in Sângeorz-Băi – a popular spa in Transylvania. The analysis focuses on the current stage of decline, explaining the main factors that caused it and exemplifying it with statistical data, customer reviews and on-the-ground direct observation. Overall, this case study offers a useful insight into some bad strategic choices that can generate and amplify the decline experienced by many spas in Romania.
