DEFINITION OF THE NOTION AND CONTENT OF WHOLESALE AND RETAIL TRADE AS ONE OF THE FORMS OF ECONOMIC-TRADING ACTIVITY

Abstract
The article analyzes the definition of the concept of “economic and trade activity” and examines its forms. It is determined that the forms are wholesale and retail trade. On the basis of the analysis of the norms of the current legislation and scientific literature, it is proposed to provide an author’s definition of the concepts: economic-trading activity, as an activity of economic entities for the purpose of obtaining profit through the purchase and sale of goods, or the provision of appropriate services related to goods turnover; wholesale trade, as trade of business entities for the further sale of goods to other retail traders; retail trade, such as the sale of goods to small quantities by the consumer or the owner.
