Abstract
This paper presents the history, the achievements and the mission of the Department of Electrical, Control and Computer Engineering Opole University of Technology. Current curricula and authorizations of the Department are specified, in particular in terms of granting the professor titlesas well as accreditations for Ph.D. and habilitation degrees. The organizational structure of the Department is presented. Both teaching and research achievements are emphasized, in particular those related to co-operation of the Department with various industries. Student research circles are also specified. It was emphasized the Department’s contribution to organization of annual performances as for example “The Electrical Days in Opole”, which took place twenty five times.
