DERIVATIVE PROCESSES IN SPONTANEOUS YOUTH SPEECH (BASED ON MATERIAL OF KYIV)

Abstract

The article revealed the basic ways of usual and occasional derivation in the everyday Kyiv youth speech on the basis of spontaneous speech texts analysis. The youth derivation demonstrates the impact on youth language of foreign languages, transformation and reinterpretation by the young generation of common lexicon and slang. Derivative processes in the youth speech tend to upgrading Ukrainian lexicon of everyday colloquial speech. Analysis of youth word formation can be continued by expanding the amount of material, considering the socio-political factors in the formation of new words and comparing the results with researches of the same processes in the other social groups’ speech.
