Description of Mechanical Movements Using Fractional Order Derivatives is not Objective
Journal Title: INCAS BULLETIN - Year 2019, Vol 11, Issue 2
Abstract
The papers deals with the objectivity in science. It aims at objectively describing the material particle movement and the movement of a continuum body. This is followed by the Riemann-Liouville, Caputo and Cherbirt fractional order derivatives presentation. In the next part the loss of description objectivity due to the use of fractional order derivatives is presented. Finally, some recent papers proposing the use of the fractional order derivatives instead of the integer order derivatives in the description of some physical phenomena are cited.

FLEXURAL OSCILLATIONS OF FLEXIBLE AIRFOILS IN SUBSONIC COMPRESSIBLE FLOWS
This paper presents simple and efficient analytical solutions for unsteady subsonic compressible flows past flexible airfoils executing low frequency oscillations. These analytical solutions are obtained with a method us...
Advanced Techniques of Stress Analysis
This article aims to check the stress analysis technique based on 3D models also making a comparison with the traditional technique which utilizes a model built directly into the stress analysis program. This comparison...
Notes regarding the supply and drain pressure effects on a squeeze film damper
Squeeze film dampers (SFD) are perhaps the most efficient devices that, can be used nowadays to control the shafts in airworthy turbo-compressors. Various other devices can be successfully used in land-based rotating mac...
Survivability rate among pilots in case of ejection
The current paper presents a statistical analysis of a recent research made by the author [1], showing the factors causing the accidents that happened in Romanian Air Force from 1952 to 2014. Also the decision of ejectio...
Implementation of a correction factor for the Pohlhausen laminar boundary layer applied on the CEVA curved wall jet model
Curved wall jets have many technical applications, ranging from aeronautical circulation controlled wings to micro-fluidics and cryogenics. This paper addresses the issue of correctly estimating the boundary layer separa...
