Design and Optimization of Multiple U- slot Microstrip Patch Antenna for Wireless Applications
Journal Title: International Journal for Research in Applied Science and Engineering Technology (IJRASET) - Year 2014, Vol 2, Issue 9
Abstract
Four U slot antenna is obtained by making four u slots in patch. Initially simple patch antenna is taken and four u slots are cut one by one to analyze effect. Initially single u shaped antenna is designed and results are obtained. This antenna resonates at 4.6 GHz, 6.7 GHz and 8.6 GHz with return loss of -13.7 dB, -30.7 dB, -14.30 dB, good gain of 1.38 dBi, 3.32 dBi and 2.34 dBi and bandwidth of 150 MHz, 1200 MHz and 250 MHz at 4.6 GHz, 6.7 GHz and 8.6 GHz. This antenna can be useful for different applications in C band, WLAN, Defence and secure communication and IMT band. Design and simulation has been carried out using IE3D.

An experimental study of heat transfer intensification in a channel having corrugated plate by using twisted tape as an obstacle
At present, the technology of the twisted-tape inserts is widely used in various industries. Twisted tapes are inserted in a channel which is a passive method for enhancing the heat transfer. Swirls are generated in the...
Modeling and Simulation of Air Conditioned Room Using CFX
Air-conditioning systems is used in many parts of the world. The purpose of most systems is to provide thermal comfort and an acceptable indoor air quality (IAQ) for occupants. With the improvement of standard of living...
Seismic Analysis & Design of Multistorey Steel Building
Steel is one of the most widely used material for building construction in the world .The inherent strength, toughness and high ductility of steel are characteristics that are ideal for seismic design. To utilize these...
Dispersion Analysis in WDM Systems
This paper proposes an 8 channel 40 Gb/s wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) system with optimized modulation format. This system is simulated with three dispersion compensation techniques i.e. pre, post and symmetri...
Performance Improvement of OFDM system and PAPR Reduction
One of the major concerns of Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) systems are its high Peak to Average Power Ratio (PAPR) values. These high PAPR values result in serious degradation in performance when a n...
