Design of Punctuality Enhanced Bus Transportation System Using GSM and Zigbee

Abstract
Public traffic system depends mainly on driver’s manual operation, which will encounter many problems regarding the punctuality of the bus’s arrival and departure of the bus at bus stations. Paper proposes a supervisory system based on GSM and Zigbee technology to improve the operation efficiency and realize intelligent transportation system. Paper introduces the punctuality enhanced bus system from the aspect of both hardware design and software design. System takes into account of the respective advantages and disadvantages of GSM, Zigbee and ARM 7, and designs a feasible solution successfully.
