Design of Smart Electric Meter Based on IOT
Journal Title: International Journal for Research in Applied Science and Engineering Technology (IJRASET) - Year 2017, Vol 5, Issue 3
Abstract
in this growing modern world everything has been under the influence of internet but the process of monitoring electric meter reading is still a manual process which drains most of the human power resulting in less accuracy. In order to overcome such situation this paper has come up with the smart electric meter based on iot. This smart electric meter makes use of arm microcontroller for monitoring the power consumption of load and node failure through iot. This smart meter also allows the user to frame budget for his/her power consumption so that once the power consumption has crossed the budget the meter will automatically turn off. In addition peltier sensor is used to supply power to the inverter instead of using normal battery.
