Design of Transmission System for a Hybrid Vehicle
Journal Title: International Journal of Mechanical and Production Engineering Research and Development (IJMPERD ) - Year 2018, Vol 8, Issue 2
Abstract
Conventional vehicles use gasoline or diesel to power an internal combustion engine which produces harmful gases into the environment. The best way to overcome this problem is by using a hybrid vehicle. The goal of a hybrid vehicle which is a rear wheel drive powered by both electric motor and IC engines to maximize the performance of the vehicle in supplying maximum power to the wheels independently from both electric motor and IC engine, which is the parallel type of transmission. To provide the proper transmission system in the hybrid vehicle it is capable of effectively transfer motion from the engine to the wheels and also acts as Eco-friendly. Efficient by maximizing performance output with minimal power losses. Compared with the battery electric vehicle, the available conventional internal combustion engine generates the power, together with the battery, the motor-driven hybrid electric vehicle, after filling the oil and the electricity, can travel about 500~1000 kilometers. When the hybrid electric vehicle decelerates and brakes, the drive motor transforms into the generator, it will change the braking energy into the electrical energy, feeding back to the power battery, causing the deceleration and the braking energy recycled. The present work includes analysis, of resistance parameters, acceleration, and gradability
Use of Bond Graph Technique for Rotor Dynamic System Modelling and Comparative Analysis of Vibration Frequency using Fast Fourier Transform
This paper presents the bond graph model of a vibrating ,rotating shaft with disc mounted on it. Unbalance mass fitted to the disc cause the disc to vibrate. The bBond Graph technique has been used to model this vibratin...
The Impact of the Thickness of the Porous Material on the Parallel Plate Channel Flow of Ree-Eyring Fluid when the Walls are Provided with non-Erodible Porous Lining
In this analysis the impact of the thickness of the permeable material on the parallel plate channel stream of ReeEyring liquid when the walls are furnished with non-erodible permeable lining is contemplated. The governi...
Comparison of Liquid Desiccants for Air Cooling Systems Using Wetted Wall Column
Desiccant dehumidification refers to the use of chemical for absorption of water vapor to dehumidify air, and thus reduce the latent cooling load in a building’s Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning system. There ar...
Design of a Four Throw Reciprocating Compressor Frame for Natural Gas
A reciprocating compressor is a mechanical device that is used to increase the pressure of a gas by reducing its volume. Compressed natural gas (CNG) is a fuel, which can be used in place of gasoline, diesel fuel and pro...
Experimental Investigation on Corrosion Behaviour of Hot Upset P/M Plain Carbon Steel
The experimental work endeavors to examine the mechanism behind the corrosion phenomenon of sintered-hot upset plain carbon steel under induced corrosion acid pickling condition. The alloy powder mix of Fe-0.5%C was comp...
