Detection of Vehicular Area for Smart Traffic Control System
Journal Title: GRD Journal for Engineering - Year 2017, Vol 2, Issue 5
Abstract
The increasing number of road traffic jams has led to the development of smart traffic control systems. The system proposes to determine the vehicular area in order to know the space occupied by the vehicle on the road. On determining this separate count for heavy and light vehicle is made which can eventually control the traffic. The system uses vehicle tracking algorithm and blob detection for processing the video sequences.
