Abstract

The article examines investment security determinants through nanolevel of the national economy – individual investors. The nanolevel’s subjects are individual economic agents (households) whose income is sufficient for saving / investing at different levels of complexity. It is defined that two group of factors are influencing the status of nanolevel investment security: internal factors for investors’ capabilities development through behavioral motives towards investment and quasi-investment activities, and external factors that occurs due to institutional regulations within property rights relations. Article characterizes nanolevel investment potential from widths and depth perspective. Widths of investment potential is the number of subjects in specific age limits and certain qualitative characteristics that form the source of investment resources through conscious attraction itself in the process of savings. However, depth of investment potential at the nanolevel is understood as amount and complexity of the savings / investing forms by individual economic agents. Quantitative and qualitative factors influence the widths of investment potential at nanolevel. Quantitative factors include the number of subjects within a certain age, income which is sufficient for savings / investment, and the quality factor – level of financial literacy. A schematic model of investment potential widths is proposed and the dynamics of indicators that characterize level of coverage of households by the savings process is analyzed. The main features that influence the growth possibilities of savings includes: amount of the income, household size, location, number of children, people at working age, employment, etc. Identifying the factors that influence the formation of the behavior of individual investors, will create measures to reinforce the positive characteristics of individual economic agents.
