Freight forwarders, ship agents and brokers are the examples of intermediaries in sea transportation. The aim of this study is to determine the broker selection criteria and to identify the scores of each criterion. In the methodology part, one of the multi criteria decision-making methods called Fuzzy TOPSIS is used and by taking into consideration the views of experts, each criterion is scored and the importance degrees are determined. Finally, the alternative brokers are ranked for a company who needs broker service with the VIKOR method.
