Determination of informative selection criteria and their importance for the crews’ formation in rowing at the stage of preparation for the highest achievements

Abstract
The features of the selection of athletes, specializing in rowing, which are at the stage of the highest achievements, were considered. The main feature of the athletes’ selection in this sport is the complexity of the criteria. Based on expert review key criteria for the formation of a rowing crew at the stage of preparation for the highest achievements were identified. The importance of the selection criteria and characteristics of different sides of the athletes’ preparedness were identified, and the sequence of their use in the selection of the rowers for crew’s formation were revealed too.
