Determination with Correlation and Path Analysis of Relationships between Dry Matter Yield with some Yield Components and Quality Characteristics in Buckwheat (Fagopyrum esculentum Moench)
Journal Title: ISPEC Journal of Agricultural Sciences - Year 2022, Vol 6, Issue 2
Abstract
This study was carried out Agricultural Application and Research Center of the Faculty of Agriculture of Bursa Uludağ University in 2018 and 2019. The experimental design was the Randomized Complete Blocks with three replications arranged in Split Plots. In the study, dry matter yield, dry matter ratio, plant height, stem diameter, leaf ratio, stem ratio, bunch ratio, crude protein ratio, acid detergent fiber, neutral detergent fiber, relative feed value, nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, calcium, magnesium, sodium, iron, zinc, copper and manganese as properties were examined and was made out determination with correlation and path analysis of relationships between dry matter yield, yield components and quality criteria. According to the results of the correlation analysis; dry matter yield was significantly and highly positively correlated with dry matter ratio (0.404**), plant height (0.770**), stem diameter (0.563**), stem ratio (0.334**), bunch ratio (0.652**), acid detergent fiber content (0.581*) and neutral detergent fiber content (0.563**); it was determined significant and negative correlation between leaf ratio (-0.683**), crude protein ratio (-0.653**), relative feed value (-0.588**), nitrogen (-0.300*), magnesium (-0.383**), iron (-0.382**), copper (-0.335**) and zinc (-0.328**).As a result of path analysis, dry matter yield was determined the highest directly affect potassium content (1.505, 1.50%) and plant height (0.801, 0.93%). Dry matter yield was determined negative highest indirectly affect leaf ratio on (-50.823, 49.19%). Stem ratio and bunch ratio was determined the highest indirectly affect dry matter yield on leaf ratio.
