Developing the Methodology for Economic Analysis of Enterprise Business Activity in the Post-Industrial Economy

Abstract
The aim of the article is critical analysis and further development of the methodology for analysis of economic activities of enterprises in the post-industrial economy. It is proved that the development of the methodology for economic analysis should be carried out in the direction of creating preconditions that would provide a possibility to diagnose and monitor trends in improving the quantity and quality of production and economic activities of enterprises for making sound management decisions by the results of analytical calculations. It is justified that the theoretical and methodological structure of economic analysis in the post-industrial economy requires improvement. The critical analysis of views of analytical scientists about the nature and classification of principles, methods and techniques of economic analysis is performed. The essence of the principles are clarified, the types and methods of analysis that allow accountants, analysts, auditors, inspectors and others to better understand and apply the theoretical and methodological aspects of economic analysis in practice are recommended. The order of applying the methods of economic analysis in accordance with phases of the investment and innovation process at enterprises is developed.
