Development and justification of fuel efficiency for subcritical installation driven by electron accelerator
Journal Title: Праці Одеського політехнічного університету - Year 2017, Vol 3, Issue 53
Abstract
The variants of design and technological features of manufacturing of fuel assemblies for the subcritical nuclear installation “Neutron Source” controlled by an electron accelerator, with rod-type fuel elements are presented. Developed fuel is an alternative for VVR-M2 fuel, produced and supplied by PJSC NCCP (Russia) to Ukrainian nuclear research installations. The results of pre-reactor tests, neutronic and thermo-hydraulic calculations are shown to substantiate reliability and safety of using developed fuel in a subcritical installation.

Using software based on the Monte-Carlo method for receiving the few-group homogenized macroscopic interaction cross-section
The constant preparation issues are important for performing the few-group analysis for different states of the reactor core. Besides, the constant preparation method influences the further calculations accuracy and qual...
Estimation of residual strength of pipeline's elbow with volumetric corrosion defect, which is developing
Pipelines are used as one of the most practical and low cost methods for transmission of different liquid petroleum products and gases. Damage on the pipeline is capable to appear during operation due to the accumulation...
Ways of implementation of vibrations suppression methods at parts machining with CNC machine tools
The further magnification of efficiency of parts machining with little inflexibility demands the machining application of new technological solutions. The concept of suppression of the regenerative oscillations at the ex...
Influence of organic ligands on copper electrodeposition from mono- and polyligand electrolytes
It is important to know the laws of copper electrodeposition from low-concentrated electrolytes containing different ligands because they simulate components of various copper-containing liquid wastes and electrolytes fo...
Use of genetic algorithm as a solution of unidimensional cutting rationalization problem
The following research is dedicated to studying an example of a solution of unidimension cutting rationalization problem. The possibility to use the elements of GA (genetic algorithm) theory at its determination is shown...
