Development of an integrated measuring standard device for “ temperature-blood pressureoxygen saturation”

Journal Title: Journal of Air Force Medical University - Year 2023, Vol 44, Issue 5

Abstract

Objective To design and develop a portable, integrated and efficient measuring standard device of “ temperature-blood pressure-oxygen saturation” under the guidance of the thought of accompanying measurement guarantee, aiming at the problem of missing or not checking the “ three checks” medical equipment for pilots before flight for a long time. Methods The standard device generally adopted the idea of integration, portability and modularization. The core components such as standard blackbody, pulsating blood pressure simulation generator and photoelectric simulation finger were designed to realize the rapid, convenient and accurate measurement and detection of the three indexes of body temperature, blood pressure / heart rate and oxygen saturation / heart rate, respectively. Results The technical specifications of the standard device met the requirements of national metrology protocols such as “ JJF 1107—2003 Calibration Specification of Infrared Thermometers for Measurement of Human Temperature”, “JJG 692—2010 Non-invasive Automated Sphygmomanometers”, and “ JJG 1163—2019 Multifunction Patient Monitoring Instruments”, which could realize the whole-process and portable measuring and testing operation of infrared thermometer, electronic sphygmomanometer and finger clip oximeter. Conclusion The device can realize accompanying measurement support, improve the accuracy and reliability of pre-flight “three checks” medical equipment, and effectively ensure flight safety.
