DEVELOPMENT OF CULTURAL AND MUSICAL CENTERS OF THE UKRAINIAN DIASPORA IN THE COUNTRIES OF NORTH AMERICA AT THE END OF THE 20TH AND EARLY 21ST CENTURIES

Abstract
The article is devoted to the general analysis of the activity and characterization of cultural and artistic centers of musical creativity of Ukrainian diaspora in the countries of North America at the end of the XX – the beginning of the XXI century. The research was carried out in the context of outlining the central tendencies and waves of Ukrainian emigration which conditioned the development of the cultural center’s structure. The underlying trends of cultural-musical activity of the Ukrainian diaspora in the countries of North America are determined. The main directions of movement of Ukrainian immigration centers in the XXI century are described as factors of preservation of national identity in the conditions of globalization of society. It is proved that traditional ethnic and cultural values not only serve as an environment of authentic culture and identity but also contribute to the establishment of intercultural dialogue.
