DEVELOPMENT OF DISTANCE EDUCATION IN THE CONTEXT OF MASS MEDIA TRANSFORMATION

Abstract
The article raises the issue of the impact of mass media on distance education. Com-munication is a key element of the educational process. It is particularly important in distance education. The authors analyzed books, radio and television, as well as the Internet as a means of mass communication, and showed the impact, of the changes taking place, on the de-velopment of distance education. The authors indicate how changing the forms of mass communication has influenced changes in the way and effectiveness of education. Special importance is attributed to the feedback communication that enabled the emergence of the Internet.<br/><br/>
