DEVELOPMENT OF PSYCHO-PHYSIOLOGICAL TESTING SYSTEM PROTECTION

Abstract
Psychophysiological science tries to understand the interactions of the physiological and psychological processes. Psychophysiological assessment is language free and thus transcends cultural, ethnic, and age boundaries in a unique way. Behavioral observation and interviews have been weighted heavily in child assessment practice. However, conceptually and statistically, by adding psychophysiological variables with sources of measurement error and biases independent of the other assessment modes, the overall validity and reliability of assessment of attention, emotion, and cognition may be improved. Furthermore, psychophysiology methods can add insights into how basic physiological mechanisms may be involved in shaping child behavior. Moreover, since autonomic nervous system regulation changes during the course of development due to structural and functional changes in the central and peripheral nervous systems, the perspective for understanding developmental changes in child behavior may be widened considerably by examining physiological data.
