Development of simulation models using AnyLogic

Journal Title: Modern Innovations, Systems and Technologies - Year 2023, Vol 3, Issue 4

Abstract

The purpose of the article is to implement simulation modeling using AnyLogic software. To achieve this goal, simulation modeling approaches were studied: system dynamics, discrete event and agent modeling, the AnyLogic tool and its capabilities. The scientific novelty of the work lies in the application of a set of modeling approaches (multi-approach modeling), industry libraries and optimization experiment offered by AnyLogic. As a result of the work, 2 systems were modeled: the bass diffusion model using elements of system dynamics and agent modeling; the airport model using industry libraries (discrete event modeling) and agent modeling. Visualizations of the system behavior in 2D and 3D, its analysis and optimization using experiments provided by this environment are demonstrated. The result of the work carried out was the conclusion that AnyLogic is a convenient unified system for simulation modeling by combining elements of different approaches and narrowly focused elements in its library, the use of which together allows you to describe the system as closely as possible, as well as the availability of additional tools for its analysis and optimization. Which is suitable for use in any organization, eliminating the need for the use of several narrowly focused tools.
