Development of the Multi-configuration Cassegrain Collimator
Journal Title: Cumhuriyet Science journal - Year 2018, Vol 39, Issue 4
Abstract
A multi-configuration collimator is designed to test high precision optical instruments. Satellite imagers and solar concentrators are main candidates to be tested with this collimator. By using different measurement configurations, errors from a single test setup can be avoided. The performance of the collimator must be better than the equipment to be tested. This necessity requires the development of a highly precise instrument with a stable mechanical structure and high quality optical components. During polishing and metrology of optical mirrors, repeatability is obtained by the application of opto-mechanical principles to the mirror holders. Finite element analyses are performed to simulate gravity induced deformations, assembly tolerances and thermal variations. To understand the disturbances to the ideal WFE, variations are imported to optical software environment with the help of Zernike polynomials. In the production phase, surface qualities of the mirrors are measured by using computer generated holograms and an interferometric setup. Design, manufacturing and integration of the collimator are explained in detail.

A Configuration of Some Soft Decision-Making Algorithms via fpfs-matrices
Since many problems have a large amount of data or uncertainty, the computer mathematics has become compulsory. To deal with such kinds of these problems, the concept of fuzzy parameterized fuzzy soft matrices (fpfs-matr...
A Mechanism of Eddy Generation in A Single Lid-Driven T-Shaped Cavity
The two-dimensional (2D) steady, incompressible, Stokes flow is considered in a T-shaped cavity which has the upper-lid moving in horizontal directions. A Galerkin finite element method is used to investigate a new eddy...
Electrochemical Determination of Interaction between Anticancer Drug Epirubicin and DNA by DNA Biosensors
Studies that deal with the confirming the interaction of anticancer drugs with DNA have gained much more importance in recent years. In our study, the interaction of Epirubicin, an anticancer drug, with DNA was examined w...
New Generalized Inequalities for Functions of Bounded Variation
In this paper, firstly we obtain some generalized trapezoid and midpoint type inequalities for functions of bounded variation using two new generalized identities for Riemann-Stieltjes integrals. Then quadrature formula...
Nonlinear Optical Properties of a Quantum Well With Short-Range Bottomless Exponential Potential
In the present study, the effect of the depth of the confinement potential on the nonlinear optical of a GaAs quantum well with short-range bottomless exponential potential is studied in detail. The energy eigenvalues an...
