Abstract
It is known that science olympiads are the highest level of knowledge competition for students, and at the same time, a lot of practical work is being done to develop science olympiads. Gifted students clearly differ from their peers in terms of acquisition and logical thinking. In this sense, it is necessary to work with questions of different levels of complexity in order to further improve the knowledge of students. This article is devoted to the issues of developing critical thinking ability and problem-solving skills in preparing students for biology science Olympiads, along with scientific recommendations
