DEVELOPMENT OF THE STRATEGY OF COOPERATION BETWEEN UKRAINE AND THE EUROPEAN BANK FOR RECONSTRUCTION AND DEVELOPMENT

Abstract
The article presents an analysis of topical areas of cooperation between Ukraine and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). Principles and basis of mutual cooperation, its influence on economic growth and strategic importance for the successful further development of the Ukrainian economy are analyzed. For understanding the role of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, examples of projects, which is implementing with the support of the EBRD, are analyzed. The dynamics of funding over the last 5 years are analyzed and the areas with the largest financing for projects implementation are identified. The emphasis is on the predominant funding for infrastructure projects, compared with other, during 2017. Examples of specific projects are given. The main examples of EBRD’s providing free technical assistance to Ukraine are considered. The dynamics of quantitative and cost indicators of EBRD investment projects in Ukraine are analyzed. An impact of cooperation between Ukraine and the EBRD on the development of strategic sectors of the economy are analyzed and an assessment of expected benefits from the implementation of projects are given. The current situation and dynamics of cooperation are analyzed, forecasts and expectations about the expansion of this cooperation in the near future are formulated.
