Abstract

The issue of downsizing the prenatal mortality in high risk infants opens up an important and complex problem: The quality of life of the high risk infants? The longitudinal developmental studies should give answer to the issue of neurodevelopment outcome and the neurological condition in this group of children, which also is the motive for doing this study. The theory is consisted from these main elements: definition of the infants group with a high risk of neurodevelopment difficulties and the areas of neuromotor development that are assessed during the developmental monitoring (locomotorics, personal and social development, hearing and speech, hand and eye coordination, performance tests and practical reasoning).
